GBG often work with heritage consultants and clients where historic buildings have no base drawings or plans due to their age. As these buildings fall into a state of disrepair and require maintenance and restoration, one of the first requirements will be for a measured building survey to provide the basic dimensions and elevations for the building, both exterior and interior. Using a variety of measuring tools GBG can produce base drawings for a building including internal and external elevations, dimensions of all spaces, plan views and even a 3D model.
